AVP – FP&A

is a profitably P&C insurance company. They accomplish this through several independently capitalized companies.
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the VP, FP&A in developing consolidated financial statements and projections, monitoring controls and compliance, conducting analyses of strategic initiatives, and contributing to special projects.
This is a holding company, shared service FP&A role that will be a key asset in the future growth and transformation of the company and team. This individual will be assisting with leading the FP&A department and will be spear-heading the Company’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. This provides insight into business forecast while monitoring the impact of macro forces in the economy on results and the subsequent impacts on the company’s budget, earnings and risk profile. In addition, this role will assist in transitioning the FPA team to a shared services corporate FPA team providing financial analysis and decision making tools to the organization to drive the right manage key FPA initiatives in support of the strategic plan and transformation of the organization and FPA team. This a high visibility role will be interacting regularly with the senior executive team and be the right hand to the SVP of FP&A and Corporate Strategy.
The Right Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Possess seven + years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, planning and analysis ideally with experience with corporate shared service finance team model and efficient processes a plus. Solid understanding of financial services industry and its accounting requirements a plus and can do attitude a must. We are looking for someone with ability to manage and take on more responsibility
